Getting started.

What is Vinylspinners?: A platform for vinyl collectors to catalog and manage their crates, discover records, follow other heads, and run with the community. Track value, set price alerts, write reviews, argue in The Back Room.
How do I claim a shelf?: Hit "Claim your shelf" up top, drop your email, pick a password. Or sign in with Google or Apple. Sixty seconds, no card needed.
Is Vinylspinners free?: Yes. Free gets you up to 3 crates, the full catalog, reviews, listening notes, and forums. Unlimited crates + analytics + PDF exports live in Premium.

Section 02

How do I add albums to a crate?: Find the album, hit "Add to a crate." Pick the crate, log condition + pressing + price. Premium users can also create custom albums with their own artwork.
Can I import from Discogs?: Yes. Crates → "Bring your Discogs over" → drop your username. We pull your collection in and match against the catalog automatically.
How many crates can I make?: Free: 3. Premium: unlimited. Most collectors use crates to organize by format (LPs, 7"s, box sets) or by mood (Sunday-morning jazz, late-night dub).
Can other people see my crate?: Your call. Each crate has a privacy setting — public, friends only, or private. Defaults live in Settings → Collections.

Section 03

What's the want list?: The records you're hunting. Hit the heart icon on any album to drop it on your shelf — set a target price and we'll ping you when a listing matches.

Section 04

What does Premium include?: Unlimited crates, advanced analytics with charts, PDF exports, the verified-collector badge, custom album uploads, priority support. $4.99/mo or $49/yr.
How does the free trial work?: Fourteen days of full Premium. We don't charge until day 15. Cancel any time during the trial — pay nothing.
Can I cancel?: Yes, anytime from Settings. You keep Premium until the end of your billing period. Your data stays put — you just drop back to Free limits.
Refunds?: Thirty-day money-back guarantee. Email us within 30 days for a full refund.

Section 05

How do the forums work?: The Back Room is organized into rooms — General, Jazz Heads, Pressing Talk, etc. Start threads, share finds, argue about reissues. Follow collectors to see their activity in your feed.
How do I control my privacy?: Settings → Privacy. Profile, activity, and collection visibility all live there — public, friends only, or private. We never sell your data to anyone.
